Your path

We are all placed in this school to become something... but what.. its where a bunch of us struggle. I know I have NOOOO idea what i want to be, every month i change what I am going to be when im older. My plan right now is to come back for another semester, work, then in the summer move to London ON. work there and then in Sept go to Fanshaw, but i dont know what i want to take. For the people who have got accepted into colleges or university congratsss ! I am truly jealous of you, that you know what you want to take and do. I hope it all works out. So I think for the people who dont know what they want to do (like me) just b r e a t h e , just live life to the fullest, and maybe one day you will know what you want to do, I'm not going to rush and be like "okay im going into police" because its almost time for you to have your papers into colleges, theres no point in doing that, I want to be happy with what im doing when im older, because im not settleing down after college, I want to move to L.A and live there for a bit, than move to other places around the world, I want to look at life a different way, I dont want kids, or to get married right away. Im fine with being alone and traveling, to me there is nothing wrong with that. So if your lost and dont know what to do, just keep going, your path will come soon.

  1. love this. its so true. there are so many people in not only our highschool but ALL high schools, who dont know what they want to do at all! I have finally chosen my path that I want to take, but even on the way I know it will probably change. "Life is what happens while you're making plans" :) thanks for shining some light on this subject mon :)

  2. This is so true :)
Life gets really complicated at this age and some of us just really have no idea what to do with our future, but your right about taking a step back to breathe, we all need to do that

  3. it's crazy to me how at the age of 17 our lives are changing forever and we're making decisions that will affect the rest of our lives. I think you're smart for taking the time to realize you're not sure yet, and that way also you aren't wasting money on school if you aren't sure.

  4. I know that you are jealous of the students who are sure of their post secondary endevors, but don’t be. I think that you are brave for recognizing that you are unsure, instead chosing a path without being certain that it is a future you’re going to be happy with. It seems as if you have a lot of interests and goals, and sometimes checking things off of your bucket list can be more fulfilling than indulging in the life of a college or university student.
When I was young, I always planned to take a year off and travel. At that stagein my life, travelling was my largest passion. Today, I have grown, and really discovered where my interests lay. I know for a fact that I love the study of languages and cultures, and I have come to the conclusion that my experiences with travel would have a greater success following post secondary study of languages. To be honest, I do not know what I want to do after I finish 4 years of university. Maybe I’ll travel abroad, maybe I’ll continue my education in languages, maybe business, maybe I’ll become a teacher like my childhood dream. I think I’d like to open a business some day. Selling cupcakes or something. I think I’d enjoy that.
And in the end, isn’t that all that matters? Being happy in everything that you do. I think so. I think that some of the happiest and most sucessful people were those who followed their dreams, took risks and made sure that no matter what, they were always in the pursuit of happiness.
